The theory makes sense to me, but would there really be any potential performance gains?
I'm not planning on trying it but just wanted to see what you guys all think.

So what my MC19 has is a bit more wierd than i thought before. When you try to start, besides it being very difficult to start, it would first run very slopy and then it seems that it gains a whole load of power reaching a stable idle at 4000 RPM. I checked and it is running on 3 instead of 4 cylinders. While it is turning on and before it gains this "power" exhaust gases come out of this tube next to the carb.

I turned off the engine and then the carburattor started to overflow where the cylinder that was not running was.

I opened the carburattor that belongs to the cylinder not running by lifting the piston and turning the butterfly valve and a bit of exhaust gas came out of the carb.

I left it alone for a bit with the key in the ignition on and then this other carb (corresponding to another cylinder) was overflowing

I did check the float needles and they are sweet. The floats go up and down perfectly. I have no idea as to why the carbs are overflowing. I think the cylinder that was not running would have some kind of problem with the spark plug.

Any ideas?

I've recently moved to Brisbane and was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get fairings and the tank painted? I've almost finished sanding everything back, just need to find a place that isn't going to rip me off.

Well, it would apppear that a few guys are keen to head down to PI for some track time on the above dates.
Monday 12th is nearly booked out and so King Kenny and myself are going to get ourselves down to ride on Tuesday 13th.

There were about 15 or so spots left in the green group today so if anyone is keen may I suggest you book reasonably soon, alternatively, just book into another group and we can all get a garage together and spit hot oil on each others back.

Would be great to get some CBR forum members down there for a meet up and a chop fest.

Get on it!

So I bought a second hand ducktail from a dude in Victoria, idea being 'that doesn't look too bad', lick of paint and she'll be new.

While the damage is small, its deep. So i'm wondering if you guys can suggest how to fix this?

1. Fix it myself with the painting know-how of a brain damaged chimp.

2. Pay someone money to buff and touch it up.

Desired result here is to be close to spectacular. Who in sydney can restore this to stock standard?
