I feel the negatives of cleaning out the bicarb from the inners of the carbs outweighs the benefits here. I think soft copper brush sounds like win.

Not sure. Open to suggestions.

I'm cleaning this weekend.

It dissolves in liquid.

Soft copper brush on the hard to reach spots will be like pulling teeth.

Do some googling on soda blasting and check it out.

Yeah I know what it takes, in fact I considered it already... Though I don't know if It's worth the clean and stuff around after..

I would like to mention that this IS the best method. A soft copper brush is ok, and even a small steel brush to get some hard to remove grime. It's stupidly time consuming and because I can't afford the tools and the local guy here wants to charge too much I have decided after a few hours that I'll clean them as best I can. They don't need to be perfect Wink

Could someone tell me what the 2 houses connected to the carbies go to as in his was missing and new replacement but not sure where it connects to. On is currently connected to the fuel pump

I think your talking about the overflow hoses
There is 1 hose from the pump to the carby, it goes on the nipple in the centre of the carbs

was able to take apart my mc22's carb and made it all the way to the jets thanks to the forum;

no ultrasonic cleaner...oh well...

will assemble everything back tomorrow and hope all 4 cylinders would fire in unison
