Almost impossible with carbs on the engine, pop em off, loosen the nuts holding the cables in the holder on the side of the carbs and push them towards the throttle wheel so you have enough slack to move the hammers from the holders

Yeah you can, turn your fuel tap off. Take the back cable out first, open throttle as hard as you can pop the 'hammer' out with a little flat blade driver then pull it out with pliers easy as, the rest will follow. The hard part is getting it back together!

I'm curious as to how this turned out for you. Being that the rough edge has the cable running on it. Does this cause any issues or is it just as free as it running on a smooth surface?
To get my cables out I hooked a small cable tie under the rear cable and pulled it up & out. Pretty easy really & no risk of damaging cables with pliers

RE: Quick Action Throttle Mod.
Tried one layer and it wasn't enough, so I stuck a 2nd layer.. Much better Big Grin
Ended up grinding the end on an angle as it was fouling on the inside. I also had to get a new cable made up 10mm longer as it was binding something shocking.

My first layer was glued on rough side out - Didn't notice any difference in regards to cable roughness, but the superglue didn't like sticking two smooth surfaces so now they're both rough side in.

My exgirlfriend said to go to the chemist to get some of those pills that give you a huge erection...
I don't know why she got upset when I threw some diet pills at her.

RE: Quick Action Throttle Mod.
I stuck part of one thick cable tie on it as per 'wins' pic. Had to slightly shave the sides back & file the ends on an angle for smoother travel. Loosened cable at carby end and they went back on easy as (after trying for a good 1/2hr at the throttle end with no luck)
