RE: 14/53 Sprocket Conversion Mod Explained
I have a massive issue.

So everything is on, and its awesome!!

But, I got a 52T. 3 links removed it was still heaps loose. So I removed another link. Right now, there is 0 slack, well maybe 5mm worth of movement. I rode it a bit today gently and my plan is it ride it gently until the chain stretches a bit.

Advice please.

1. Did i fuck up and now need to get another chain. If so, like i mentioned earlier its heaps loose with 3 links gone, what do I do?
2. Can I ride it out and let it stretch, but never do it again.

So the rear wheel is all the way forward against the stops and the chain is too tight? As long as it's not ridiculously tight, I'd ride the thing. Has the chain stretched at all from the first ride?

Justin.

Forward or back?

its pushed "back" towards the pegs, not forward "out" where you take it off.

There is about 5mm of movement. (is this considered ridiculously tight?)

Should i be worried?

Thanks guys

I'm concidering doing the 14/53 mod for my mc19 but worried it may be a bit too much for what i want. Is there a 52 t that fits the mc19? Or a different ratio thats good for a 19
