RE: Difference 250 vs 400
To the original poster, at your height and (more importantly) weight it is very unlikely that you will be at all competetive in the 400 class. RVF's are the racers choice in any case.
For everday riding and weekend thrashing I would recommend a Suzuki GS500 - 50hp, 200km/h top speed, decent torque and comfortable riding position. For commuting and twisties I would recommend a Honda XR600R - 42rwhp stock and easily modified for mroe with a cam/ignition/filter upgrade ($250). 160km/h topend or more depending on gearing and very comfortablke for fellows our size. I ride one daily and am 6'2"/90kg, couldn't imagine a better fit. Best part is you can be up the ass of the supersport guys in the twisties, and its both inexpensive and learner legal. Hope that helps a bit mate, cheers - boingk |

RE: Difference 250 vs 400
Why don't you just go and test ride a couple of them and see for yourself? You'll know which one you want when you begin convincing yourself to buy one instead of the other. It's a lot easier than recieving too many opinions about a bike that you're going to be riding.

RE: Difference 250 vs 400
I'm 6ft1 and weigh 105kg (just started running cause i'm becoming a fatty). I find the ciblet awesome on a long run (300km) as my elbows sit perfectly on my knees relieving pressure on my back, sure I look like a foetus riding a bike, but at least it's comfy.
![]() I have not ridden a RVF or VFR or whatever the legal one is. A mate of mine did and he ended up buying a Hyosung 650gt. He seems to like it.
