Reapers Hannspree project (MC22), new pics, page 1
Ok so bike is getting a make over (again), but this time it doesn't need to be rushed to get me to work on Monday so I'm doing it properly this time, paying as much attention to detail as i can.
the theme for the build is "track style" this will be starting soon after the next big brisbane rideout (i dont want to miss it coz my bikes in pieces). things to happen: (in no particular order) new hanspree scheme fairings inc. tank cover from ozzy strip and repaint adjustable levers (properly this time) replace grips with foam lockwired items overhaul brakes and paint calipers and front res gold new brake pads (still undecided on which ones) braided brake lines front and rear HRC rear brake res kit carbon fibre engine case protectors new heel guards new indicators (small LEDs) paint radiator end tanks black repaint exhaust new radiator cap with saftey release switch KOSO RX2N clock Tyga carbon guard Tyga rearsets clean up switch blocks (looking a bit faded) tidy carbon undertray for tail camera mount for fuel cap powdercoating black: -frame -subframe -swingarm -top clamp -clipons (possible paint not sure yet) also, fit my steering damper. wheels will be cleaned up properly and possibly painted black with polished lip. all nessisary things lockwired for the race bike look ![]() will post pics up soon of what im starting with. this is what it should look like. with the tail scheme from ozzy website. ![]() [UPDATE] 12/7/11 so my fairings arrived today (thanks ozzy). they feel pretty strong, and the colours are really nice too. couple of little scratches here and there but i cant really blame anyone for that as they were packed really well. just bad luck. but unless your looking at it as an owner you wouldn't notice them. Im probably just being pedantic. this is the lot on the bike for the test fit and im really happy with them. the tank covers not perfect, sits nice and flush at the front edge of the fuel cap and there is probably a 15mm gap on the back edge. that would be the only thing im not 100% happy with. i can upload more pics if anyone wants to see, but i'll have to do it at work as the net at home is painfully slow... ![]() now to pull it all apart so i can get started on powdercoating ![]() [UPDATE] so not much of the original plan ended up happening due to various reasons this is pretty much what i have now. i've given up on the koso and itll be going to a workshop to be hooked up properly. this is how it sits now: ![]() ![]() ![]() so i finally got some new fast internetz and can post pics again. (bit of a pic dump sorry) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: Reapers Hanspree project (MC22)
thats pretty much the first thing i'll be doing on monday is calling my local powdercoater to find out.
cant imagine it being too extreme if im taking everything apart first. pagey: there are a few cbr250's getting around with the koso clocks now, if you search the forum im sure you'll find a write up someone has done a few months ago now. i even went and bough a project book and diary to log and keep track of everything and yeah of containers from supercheap so i dont lose anything.

RE: Reapers Hanspree project (MC22)
Whats a Safety switch rad cap?
Get Goodridge lines man. Is whats on mine, are damn good quality and cheap enough. Just beware the rear line makes it much easier to lock the rear. I got my rear mainly for bling to match the front. |

RE: Reapers Hanspree project (MC22)
ive got the RX2N on my mc22. You need to know he basics of electronics to fit it. And a multimeter is a must. Lots of time is spent working out which wire on the clock goes to what wire on the standard loom.

RE: Reapers Hanspree project (MC22)
aduro: its a radiator cap with a red lever type switch on it, if you need to release pressure or want it to cool down faster if it overheats you just lift the lever and walk away for a few mins and it will realease the pressure in a downwards direction, to avoid scolding you. pretty good idea i've them on my cars before.
