This growing on me, I love gold wheels too.

It would look good with the aftermarket kit I posted.

RE: RVF400 Rebuild
Id say stick with the original scheme. I reckon it looks the best and with oem fairings aswel it will definately have a higher resale value if thats what your looking for.

Otherwise if you want race rep scheme, Id suggest castrol rc45 scheme. Greatest rider that ever lived rode it!Big Grin

RE: RVF400 Rebuild
After a bit of research and some more fiddling, it turns out the aftermarket triple clamp alters the steering angle, I wondered why it was such a bitch to push around, originally I'd assumed it was static brake pressure combined with low tyre pressure but there you go, you learn something everyday!

I think I will swap them and try them on the trackie cause I don't want those characteristics on a road bike.

I do like the Castrol too, stop making it harder!

RE: RVF400 Rebuild
Yeah i'm pretty much sold on that thou scheme and the fact that this kit is almost identical to the thou set just makes it easier.

That scheme fits exactly on this kit:

Perfect fit.

I'm sold.

RE: RVF400 Rebuild
do it! also the new hrc honda scheme has white rims and solid blue honda wing.
gold rims look much better! also carbon fiber front fender with a hrc sticker would really look trick.

also should be able to get some vinyl honda wings made up.
or make your own outta some metallic blue vinyl, can buy of ebay or internet.

RE: RVF400 Rebuild
I actually like the transition from blue to red, so i'll probably stick with it.

Definitely sticking with gold wheels.

Going to get the frame and swingarm powdercoated black, or 2-pak to match as well.

Got a set of 600rr calipers along with the appropriate master cylinder and an upper radiator today.
