Just curious really how many offroaders we have on here, and what do you ride.

If you're in QLD, where abouts do you get out and ride at? I'd been considering for ages perhaps getting a dirt bike and it makes more and more sense the more I think about it, and even the missus definitely wants to give it a red hot go, so there's certainly no resistance against the idea.

What do you ride? Throw up some pics Smile

Definitely though if you ride in SE QLD, let us know where as I'd love to come check out some tracks and areas.

RE: Who here rides offroad, and what do you ride?
Just about to get my second bike delivered. Brought a Suzuki DR650, more of a duel sports bike but has had plenty of mods done on it like gearing and stiffer suspension to make it more suitable for the beaten track for weekends away out bush ect. Also got roadies with it, has nobbies on atm but will be good for some long distance touring. Has a 36L tank fitted! Might put the stock one on when going local bush tho, the thing rides like a swimming pool when fool but will go a insane distance.

toyed with the 250 idea for pure dirt but just not that into it.

I've been wanting to get a dirt bike for ages.
I wanna get it sideways, something that my lack of skill and bravery stops me from doing on the road.

RE: Who here rides offroad, and what do you ride?
i went for the pure eduro approach. wr450.. tackling bike hill climbs and rocky descends mixed in with single trails is my idea of fun! Smile love the dirt. hooligan style riding with no cops to worry about. jumps, wheelies and power slides are all on! Smile

never got into the adventure touring thing as a weekend thing cos riding fire trails is hardly challenging. only time i would give that a go would be to do an epic trip similar to long way around..

anyway some pics Smile

yeah ive had more but smaller injuries crashing the dirt bike vs crashing the road bike.. still safer i think. doing laps on a mx track changes things a lot too though
