RE: after market CDI
There's a bunch of threads on 400greybike.com talking about the Ignitech CDI for the NC23/29, and they say the HRC map is just copied and put onto the Ignitech CDI.

Nik09, join up to 400greybike and do a search in the cbr section of the site. I just did a quick search and there is 35 pages of results in relation to the Ignitech for the CBR400RR.

RE: after market CDI
i looked through the software for tcip4 and sparker3 and I couldn't see any reference to any HRC maps

do they have to be requested or something?

RE: after market CDI
I'm not sure. Supposedly the Ignitech CDI for the NC23 is pretty rare, but the NC29 ones are relatively easy to come by.

As far as I know, they just read the map from an actual HRC CDI and then loaded it onto the Ignitech module. Apparently with the Ignitech CDI, they give you the module and a CD, the CD has the standard map, the HRC map and also some UK map which is irrelevant for us I think.

RE: after market CDI
wait, are these ignitech units discontinued? I mean, you can currently use tcip4 for it... I didnt think they made a specific cdi for the nc23 only.

couldnt the customer just ask ignitech for the hrc map anyway?

This thread explains it pretty well.

http://www.400greybike.com/forum/viewtop...nitech+cdi

RE: after market CDI
I'm contemplating one for my Rvf build, due to head porting and head skimming.

On standard internally standard bikes they lose a hp or two.

The HRC mapped Ignitech that is, not the eBay rubbish.
