DEC15 Southern Whaling Season - The Nisshin Maru PICS AND WRITE UP DONE!

No, its not a joke, Im taking the ST1100 to Phillip Island on the 15th December. Its all been paid for so thats where I'll be.

After writing off a lap of Australia, Hawaii, New Zealand and other schemes, I've decided to do a two stage trip.

Stage 1: Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney in 3 days and leave the bike with my uncle in Abbotsford, SYD. Fly back to Townsville.

Insert final two weeks of Term 4.

Stage 2: During the school holidays, fly back to Sydney, pick up the bike and begin a two week poke around NSW, VIC, and TAS.

Places planning to visit - Bathurst (the V8 circuit, just for a look), Dubbo (for the Western Plains Zoo), Canberra (friends), Melbourne, PI, Tassie, Great Ocean Road, Woolygong, Sydney, Coffs, Bris, Townsville over 14 days.

Don't know how much free time I'll have as such, but Im going for the journey

Make sure you let us know when you'll be in Sydney and if possible organise a ride out (Right time of year for a BBQ/beach ride out too)! Sounds like a good way to do the ride if you're strapped for time though!

Well it looks like due to time constraints, I don't think I'll be coming through RNP, but knowing how iconic it is (especially on this forum), I should probably set aside some time to do it.

Let us know when you plan to be in Melbs and we will organise a BBQ to meet some peeps. If we can offer a bed we will, but it sort of depends on when little-one decides to come into the world (I'm due 21 Dec).

Definately, I've been wanting to meet forum peeps outside of Brisbane for a while. Actually, I wouldnt mind seeing the Brisbane members at some point in the near future. ST1100 at the drags lol

Im only in Tassie for like a day - basically from Devonport - Strahan and back lol. I love the western coast, so its going to be a decent ride, nice lunch, then back on the boat. When I do the lap next year and have more time it'll be a different story. I'll still hit you up
