zx6r build.
well since i crashed yesterday, im still stuck deciding whether to make it a full time trackbike, or back on the road. either way, it wont be on the road for another 2 months or so, due to lack of funds, so im going to start a kinda build thread.

things im planning on doing is.

full system, either akra, yoshi or Leo Vince.
custom dyno tune
new rearsets, probably gillies if i can find em, maybe vortex.
new raceglass
full adjustable levers
new clip ons
rear braided brake line
new pads
upgrades suspension
case sliders
other random bling possibly

starting point is this

ill start pulling it down tomorrow morning and post some progress pics

Well it's a good starting point. Let me know if you need a hand with anything, otherwise looking forward to seeing how you go Smile

at risk of asking a stupid question, what fields are your specialties? im assuming design/graphic design?(i vaguley remember a few mock up fairing schemes from a while ago in a long forgotten thread)

RE: zx6r build.
With the full system, could do what I did and just pick up yoshi headers (whether it be Ti or SS) as they fit onto the stock midpipe. sucks about your off but atleast it was at the track!

RE: zx6r build.
Wait, so did you end up claiming after you crashed a while back when coming home from work?

RE: zx6r build.
nah never claimed.

yeah joel, ive thought about that in the past, but it would probably be the cheapest way to get a full system.
what was the power gains from the yoshi headers? similar to other brands? i can get a yoshi full system with a carbon can for around $750 posted, but dont know if the power gains is the same to an akra or leovince.

im not looking for that much of a gain, but if im gunna rebuild this bitch, im going to do it properly Wink

stock rear lines jlyall, didnt see the need for rear braided, but if i can pick some up cheap, around 50 bucks, ill pick em up

also if anyone sees anything cheap for an 05 06 zx6r, could they send me the link or post in here? im mainly looking for the levers and rearsets and exhaust at the moment to get me back on the road, but cluch and stator covers, barends, clip ons, rear braided lines and raceglass will all end up being purchased

cheers

also may be interested in fightering it, but as the stock nose cone and headlights and infact all road gear is still 100% id only do it if i got a good deal on a compatible headlight
