CBR250RR Onboard footage from Motorcycle Sportsmen Challenge Cup 22-23 October 2011
Here are some onboard camera videos from the most recent Motorcycle Sportsmen Of Queensland race meeting in Warwick, Qld. We competed in the Challenge Cup and also the Gregg Hansford Memorial Race (which we qualified for at a previous meeting that was rained out). I'm riding a Yellow FZR250 that you see in the Gregg Hansford Video, Kieran is riding the bike the camera is mounted on. we don't have all the races - including the best race of the weekend which was race 4, but these have some good action in them.

Race 1

Race 2

Gregg Hansford Memorial Race 1

The next meeting we will be holding is 19-20th of November 2011, if your from the SEQ area (Gold Coast/Brisbane/Sunshine Coast) pop out to Warwick and check us out - it's not that far awa, most of the riders are from GC/Bris/SC. There is no entry fee to come watch out racing and you can walk around the pit paddock and talk to the racers.

Cheers
Simon

It's all stock except for race prep, all lights removed, fairing has a belly pan. Footpegs have been replaced with non folding ones. Lockwiring done etc. Engine is all stock. Rear shock has been extended to raise the tail a bit. Quick turn throttle and a different exhaust can.

If you come out to warwick I would expect at least 10 CBR250's to be racing, you can see what we do, things like footpegs/rear sets and extending the shock, quick turn throttle, changing to cbr600 race glass is very popular.

Alot of the guys and girls are running Pirelli Supercorsas now, anyone that has not moved to the super corsa's will be running the Dunlop GPR Alpha 10 or 12's.

Cheers

Are you talking about the current Supercorsa. SP tyres? I thought they only had 120/70 front and ranged from 170/50 up to 190/55 rear.

I'm interested in the rear shock being extended to raise the back. Would you happen to have any more information on that?

The current supercorsas come in a 110 front and a 150 that fits the rear - the front only comes in SC1 compound the rear comes in SC1 or SC2.

There are two methods of extending the rear shock - remove the bottom and weld on a 8mm thing plate - drill and tap it so it's the same as what was there before. Or the way we have been doing it - cut off the two prongs at the bottom and weld a plate there and weld the two bits back on. I can put some photos up tomorrow if anyone is keen to see - otherwise come out to warwick if your in SEQ and see it all first hand.

Cheers

I just had a look on the pirelli site - and they don't list the 110 front or 150 rear in the Supercorsa SP range - however they do exist!
I will also add that they are amazing!
