"2012 will see the introduction of the new 250 Production class to ASBK. With the new class will come the introduction of one of the most popular bias 250 tyres on the market , the GT501 Arrowmax. The GT501 Arrowmax is a bias construction sports tyre utilising a Kevlar belting construction. The GT501 Arrowmax is a popular choice for fitment for 250 to 400 machines globally due to its exceptional performance in all conditions and its high durability."

RE: 250cc Proddies
Shouldn't be too bad until maybe halfway through a season*..

*actually mean halfway through the race when the tire decides to firm up and give no grip..

RE: 250cc Proddies
Ahhh finally some sense... asbk or ma, whoever runs it, has caved in and they are now allowing the alpha 12s aswell as the arrowstax..

RE: 250cc Proddies
Is anyone in Vic actually keen on having a go in this series? I'm thinking about entering a VTR250 for some rounds Smile

Now a VTR250 might actually be more fun.

RE: 250cc Proddies
Next round to enter is the Vic Road Racing Champs on 24-25 March at Broadford. Can't enter my (older) model of the vtr250 due to the new rules and Supplementary Regs for national 250 Production class.

If you want to race a 4T 250s other than a current parallel twins or singles, have a look at the club meets and interclub rounds for the Clubsport Lite rounds

The next Preston MCC club round is happening at Broadford on 14-15 April. Hoping to have my first outing then. 4 weeks to sort out the lock wiring, get some spare handlebars levers pegs etc, tyres (can't decide between 140 and 150 size rear), perhaps warmers, I'm sure there's more that's need.

Anyone else keen? Kenny?

RE: 250cc Proddies
We usually get around 12 of so CBR250RR at race meetings run by the motorcycle sportsmen of Queensland for you northerners. I was keen to race in the national series until they changed the rules to not allow the older bikes.

http://motorcyclesportsmen.com.au if you want to know more about racing in South East Queensland. Good racing numbers and great on track battles.

Cheers
Simon
