RE: My CBR 250 RR so far
Yeah, nah they won't change them over, you simply made a poor choice, but it's in the past, nothing you can do about it now. Either you keep the tires for a while until you inevitably crash because of them, or you simply just get over their shitness and finally fork out for better ones, or you change them as soon as possible with something cheap and decent like the BT45 or Sport Demons. I would suggest the latter..

RE: My CBR 250 RR so far
Honestly I have no idea on how shit they allegedly are...I have googled them and there is mixed reviews...not having rode a bike before I have no base for comparison. The tyres that were on the bike when I first rode it were shot so these new ones feel much safer and much better, that said they did feel weird in the wet but that was the same feeling I got in my car.

The only thing I can do is ride with these for a while then go and buy some new tyres and see how they differ. I get the feeling those of you who have said they are shit have been riding for some time and are going much faster than me in the corners etc.

I bought these tyres because the shop recommended them, they were within my budget at the time and the bike really needed new rubber.

Just a word of warning, do not push it on those tyres. Don't even try and go faster than the advised speed posted for corners. And in the wet, well, just don't ride.

If you're new to riding, then you won't be flying anyway, so I dont think you have too much to worry about, but it's easy to get your confidence up on the 250 and then come unstuck due to over confidence, it happens on good tyres, let alone on arrowstax.

Just be gentle with them, we don't want to be reading a crashed bike thread in a few weeks. Experience is the best teacher after all, though.

Nice work on your bike mate, ride well within your capabilities and don't exceed the tyres capabilities now that you know what the go is with them. I am sure you will be fine.

Man ride the tyres as you normally would, just be careful in the wet and when they are cold Smile All will be good.

I work for Beaurepaires and I beleive in our product 95% is great...we are owned by Goodyear/Dunlop.

4% shitness is geotred/triangle/sava "aftermarket" Tyres we supply

The last 1% I'm ashamed to say the guys are 110% correct in saying is the Dunlop gt-501 arrowstax. It is the worst, shittest Dunlop tyre out of their complete range of Tyres for ANY vehicle. I shake my head as EVERY bike shop I been into recommends them.... I tell them they are wanks.
Sorry, forgot to say u got urself a awesome deal on the bike tho. $1800 is a bargain regardless of fairings. Still looks like a beast tho
