Hey All,

So I got not one, but TWO Eastern Creek track days as gifts for XMas!

Never done one before, so need to get some leathers. I have all the other protective gear already (racing boots, gloves etc etc)

I dont have a great deal to spend (lets say around $600-$800 is what I would prefer to spend). But dont particularly want to buy a $200 piece of crap either.

Any suggestions/stores in Sydney I should check out?

Action Motorcycles seems to have some good deals on Berik gear.....

^^ Do yourself a favour and grab a Berik suit for under $800.
Excellent quality and a fantastic buy at that price.

Yeah Action has the best deals in sydney by far. They have good deals on Berik suits, I grabbed myself a Madif suit from there for $450 and it's a ripper of a suit. Madif and Berik are both part of the Arlen Ness company and just because the Madif suits are under $500 that does not mean they are rubbish, it just means they don't have all the added features that Berik suits have and Berik suits don't have all the features that the top of the line Arlen Ness suits have.

The only thing that the Madif suits don't have that the Berik suits do is neoprene around the collar and cuffs but that is it, the Madif suits have more perforation than the Berik, and the Madif is limited to only 3 colour choices.

If you're only dipping your toes into trackdays maybe consider hiring before buying.
You can hire gear for the days @ EC from The Madaz garage.

as mentioned above, the Beriks are good value for money and we've tested them out more than once!
The Madif is a No Frills version of same... have a few mate's that are happy with them (tested also!)

Find your size and hunt Ebay for some bargains on 2nd hand Dainese etc if you want brand names.. good suits for cheap and broken in already Smile

If you happen to find yourself into a size 52, i have a Dainese in the cupboard you may borrow.

Boots I wouldn't buy second hand, but leathers from Hype would be fine. I'm sure Cerby can vouch for his lack of ball fungus.... Wink
