RE: KV100
I have been busy but made a little progress just same. I have a few item on the run at the same time with this little bike something to carry on with while waiting for parts for others. I found this snow/ski board and have decided this will make a good seat.
![]() After a few cuts here's it basic shape. ![]() More cuts and adding in some supports for the bum stop which also give me the shape at the rear end I am looking for. ![]() Need to fill the gaps and then shape it to the curve I am looking for, $16 bucks at our local hardware store for expanding foam...after squirting away it filled up like this, note the amount initially squirted in was about 1/3 this volume so true to label this shit expands. This is after about an hours curing time. ![]() I cut into it before it cured completely as it is easier to work. ![]() Then let it cure some more and filled again where needed. It looks like it's got a bad case of acne. ![]() Letting that cure and then shape, sand and cover or paint. Might cover it with the leather from this. ![]() I will post more pics on the seat as it goes forward. I have dropped the height of the bike on the front forks slightly and am looking for some clipons for it. Not sure if I like the headlight bucket this low! I really won't know until I get the wheels on, currently waiting for new tyres for it. ![]() Thanks for your feedback guys and 'tik' I do miss the sheep ![]() (21/01/2012 19:48)ronski Wrote: Stand rocks! I just beat the panel and hoped for the best, on reflection i could've done it differently and so I am looking for another tank for it but it will do for now. There are some videos on Youtube where guys have done this sort of thing. I will post a link when I find it. James |

RE: KV100
I wonder if there has ever been another motorcycle crafted from a snowboard? I'm laughing, but huge kudos to ya for your imagination and I can see how it's going to work. Looking forward to the next update.

RE: KV100
Snowboard seat is genius. I am in awe. Thats why u should never throw anything out, you never know when itll come in handy (my better half does not subscribe to this philosophy). And yeah, youre better off cutting up that manky jacket, I reckon

I am enjoying the build and learning an awful lot about motorcycles too. I will post more pics soon as I have made more progress. |

RE: KV100
Ok so I hated the look of the bum stop in the end and have tossed it as an idea for the little KV instead I have decided I can do better with a simpler seat and so taking the other end of the ski board I came up with this:
![]() Here is a layer of foam stuck to it. May put one more layer on it then cover it with leather...it is not the cafe look I'd originally intended for it but I like this look over that anyway...besides it is easier to do.
