I know what you mean about the lap times, at the PI 8-hour in December the Cali superbike school instructors were lapping consistently in the 1:43-1:46 bracket on their gixxer 600 superstock bike, and towards the end of the day one of them managed a quickest lap of 1:40.812 on pretty much the same bike they hire out for the trackdays! It beggars beleif that they can go 17 seconds a lap faster! The bar has been raised
