I can't see that it will give you any more power though it may help improve mid-range and transtion onto throttle moments etc as you can reference TPS to give fast enrichment with quick throttle openings etc. Im not trying to speak for anyone else here, but i imagine the whole point in doing this is the actual doing it. As in the means is the end, or something like that. Or maybe ive supped tooo much ale tonight. Either way, I think this is deadly, even though i dont understand any of it, but i admire the fuck out of anyone who can take on a project like this |

RE: Project CBR250RRi
Small update.
I was thinking about what you were proposing Zane with the 600RR secondary injectors in the airbox so I went on ebay to see what kind of money they are going for and ended up buying a set for €30 delivered from the states! This actually ends up serving a few purposes. First is I will be able to test the EFI setup sooner and for less money. The injectors arent ideally spaced for the mc22 carb mouths but they should be good enough to test with anyway. The plan is then if this can prove that EFI will work well on the CBR250, I will go ahead and modify the GSR400 throttle bodies and make the whole setup more permanent. Second is the injectors. They are a much lower flow rate than the GSXR750 ones (180-190cc/min) so they will suit the mc22 engine better. They are also the right size to fit into the GSR400 throttle bodies while the GSXR injectors just dont fit. Cheap set of injectors really! The 600RR injector is on the left. The GSXR throttle bodies will still serve a purpose though. The fuel rail on them is made up of 4 plastic injector fittings joined together by aluminium pipes and o-ring seals. It will be easy to make new alu pipes on a lathe to match the new spacing and an adapter plate to fix the injector fittings to the throttle bodies. The kind of fitting on the fuel rail: I have the microsquirt ECU and sensors ordered now so I should have them soon enough and then the only major components left to source will be a fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. I bought a CBR600F last week so now the 250 can be retired to get work started on it. Wiring in the ECU and mounting the 600RR injector rail in the airbox will be the first steps.

RE: Project CBR250RRi
with this level of investment... you might actually be able to pull this off.
not only that, this could be a much cheaper option than an ignitech cdi and fcr carbies... I'm sure you can iron out kinks in the tuning stage. this could be quite a popular mod if say you machine up a dozen new throttle body shafts and the correct spacing! Also if anyone was wondering, that bluefox cdi turns out to be a dead unit. What a rip off

The thing is, you can really make a kit out parts that need custom fabrication and welding and making a brand new cdi unti from scratch! For small things like a butterfly shaft and a few pipes cut to length with o-ring groves make it alot more feasible. Especially if it has been tuned with all info in terms of tunes/curves etc can be openly shared here for everyone to use, I think it would be quite a popular mod.
