Part number needed for 89 mc19

I used a MC22 cable on the MaC19. it does have a little play but works fine. I'm not sure how easy it would be to shorten it but will look into it when i'm ready.

You only really need a pull cable I believe.

I'm not sure if you could measure one of your existing cables and see if you can find one of similar length.

RE: Part number needed for 89 mc19
its not the length thats the issue.

the issue is that on the throttle tube, the retaining threads are different sizes between the push/pull. the ones in there at the moment have the same size ends on the cables so one wont hold in there properly. so when it kinks on an angle, it holds the throttle wide open and it wont return, if that makes sense

I think i'm following what you are talking about.

Is it the push or pull cable?

Remove the push cable if it's that, you do not require it.

MC19 Push Cable: 17920-KY1-000
MC19 Pull Cable: 17910-KY1-000

Not sure if they still make these but if they do can you please send me PM as to where you got them? Big Grin

RE: Part number needed for 89 mc19
I was given these numbers by Mr Kritas when I was looking for the MaC19 cables, hence why the Honda dealer gave me a MC22 cable and told me they no longer make a push cable.

All the best Mr Shane. Big Grin

take the cable into stevos in the city, and ask Doug to match it to something, he's got a hundred years experience
