CBR 250 Size?
Hello,
I'm looking to buy a CBR 250 however, I'm afraid I will out grow it quickly. Should I be looking at the next size up? Thanks |

RE: CBR 250 Size?
have you got any mates coming up that you can pass it on to? they're good starter bikes, cheap to crash repair,
personally I'd buy a DRZ 400, wouldn't take a hyosung for free the 3 WORST THINGS you can do, is over promise and under deliver http://www.acbikes.com.au Simon Long 0432 509 303

RE: CBR 250 Size?
If you weigh less than 120kg and are not 6'5 + then the CBR250 would be the go. It's about the same size as a modern 600... and it holds its own in the twisty bits.. I am yet to be out performed by a LAMS bike. DRZ400 is a great bike but it is a bit of a nug and there are better bikes out there, though the DRZ is without doubt good value for money.
If you have massive hands you will have trouble doing work around the engine, especially replacing plugs etc.. lol, but it's not impossible.

Same size as a 600???? Except the seat height is like 3 inches lower, bars closer to the seat, and much thinner. Lots of LAMS bikes will also out perform it but it's still a good bike never the less ![]() So how big are you mate? |

RE: CBR 250 Size?
Yeah obviously trollin'
![]() Here is an example.. ~~~~~~~~2007 YZF R6 vs CBR250RR Width:~~~~~~ 0.690 m vs 0.685 m Height:~~~~~~ 1.105 m vs 1.120 m Weight (Dry):~~~ 161 kg vs 153 kg RPM: ~~~~ 17,500 RPM vs 19,000 RPM So when I say about the same size, I guess I am right ![]() In appearance, the CBR250RR does not look like a 250, i get people who ride a CBR600RR ask me if my bike is a 600.... So....

RE: CBR 250 Size?
You will find most sports bikes have those dimensions. They are kind of irrelevant, seat height and reach is the difference. Plus the width you listed, is the overall width, not the width between your legs. You can't sit on a CBR250 and tell me it feels the same size as a 600. Hell even next to the RVF my old CBR looked small.
Check the seat heights. The CBR250 is NOT a big bike, the GT250R is much bigger, I feel massive on a the 250 but relatively normal on a 600. |

RE: CBR 250 Size?
If you're on your L's, I suggest you just get an R1.
