oh snap you guys have eagle eyes! I actually had another project during the build of this one - it was an MC19 with MC22 front end (good pickup). Don't know how that found it's way on photobucket.

I pulled the engine out because the bike was sitting outside for so long it had grass growing on the engine. I thought I'd have to do a total rebuild, but when I opened it up it was all good so ended up cleaning/degreasing the block and reco'ing the top end (valve clearance and replaced shims, and replaced gaskets/seals).

I'll check the brand of the grips tonight - the packet said Made in Italy, which for me was good as SOLD!


I was thinking of painting the rims orange, massive CBF though

So the starter motor decided to shit itself. for no apparent reason.

Pulled it apart and found the +ve brush completely run out..makes sense why it doesn't work!

Luckily Mr Eclipze came to the rescue! Should be receiving a spare one today.

Going to miss it . But on the bright side I'll be doing squid-spec whoolies up and down Eastern freeway with the R1
