RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
To each his own I guess...

The cheapest manometer I could get here is around $155... not keen on putting out that much for something I would be using once a year.

Maybe I could try to make a smaller, more accurate version and sell to the market here lol

RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
What are the vacuum adapters for? Was thinking for buying a vacuum syncroniser of ebay. Is this because the hose was the wrong size for the existing ports? How did you know they required the adapter?

Good work building your own, not sure if I could bother with the effort Smile

RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
far as I know the cibby does not have the adapters, only 1 stock adapter is attached to cylinder 1, which is connected to the vacuum hose for the petcock.

without 3 more adapters, you would not be able to attach the vacuum hoses of the manometer. that being said, the stock adapter is smallish in size, it would be better to get 4 new ones of the same size. I permanently installed the 4 adapters to my bike for future balancing use.

Really there's no effort at all building it, as long as you have the materials at hand, it's gonna be a snap making the manometer.

RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
Are that would make sense then. Can't say I ever paid much attention there when I pulled it apart last. So first step would be to purchase a set of adapters then :-)

RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
try to find adapters from hardware stores etc. as you can lower your construction cost immensely. remember you are looking for 5mm thread adapters or vacuum nozzles as they call it.

RE: Carb Sync Tutorial
Nice, I'll do some browsing tomorrow and see what I can find. Can't wait to get this service done, changing the spark plugs, carb boots, air filter and a rebalance.
