Medium sized boat being how big? I've only ever seen 4WD's towing anything bigger than dinghy.

I have seen Commodores and Falcons towing massive caravans however, with the rear suspension almost bottomed out. That shit should be illegal and is pretty fuckin dangerous in my opinion.

Braked towing, and that would be close to 2tonne - but yeah ample towing power for most things from a standard AUTOMATIC FG falcon for any car trailer.

And the manual versions have a towing capacity of 750kg, just to clear things up. the new autos are pretty flash, and computer controlled, they even put down more power than the manual gearbox.

Friendship is like peeing on yourself: everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

Speedboats/Wakeboarding boats was mainly what I was thinking. Boat + trailer must weigh a couple of tonne?

Nah depends on size. And most guys who tow don't actually know what they can tow, u can goto 2300kg with a haymen Reece tow hitch, they could tow their track cars behind with that, a half canopy boat, a medium caravan, etc.
Speed boat prob only weigh 1 tonne max, trailer maybe 600kg

The main advice I can give on towing with heavy items is make sure ur under the max load of your vehicle limit, if u bingle and are over forget insurance... They will pwn u.
