Weird leakage and more
Alright, i posted a thread before stating how my bike would not even turn on the headlights. The main fuse was blown so i replaced it and now the electrics seem to work again.

When i tried to turn it on, it would struggle to get the engine to be fully on by accelerating with the throttle but as soon as i let go of it the engine would shut down with a loudish metallic pop that came from the back of the bike. I tried several times, wishing that by some magic reason the engine would fix itselft and stay iddle but it progessively became harder to turn it on until the point the ignition would be the only one making some sound.

I searched and apparently i had to check the spark plugs. I toom them out and the tips were completely black therefore i cleaned them up with a wire brush and some petrol.

After i put up everything back together i tried turn it on but not even the ignition would do anything (it does not sound). The fuel pump made this quiet noise. For some reason i moved this hose, every time i just fiddled around with it, fuel would leak out of the carburettor and the pump would make a louder noise.

I have a feeling the whole fuss is about the fuel system

RE: Weird leakage and more
So you have a MC19? Because you said fuel pump...

If you have a leak then get new seals and a new fuel hose.

RE: Weird leakage and more
carbs are over flowing, not sealing on the float needles, most likely from rust, that's why you hear the pump pumping faster, and fuel coming out the overflow,

you can't clean plugs wi a wire brush,

check if the excess fuel hasn't goine into the sump, if it does, it goes thru the breather into the airbox, and turns the plugs black, and thins the oil and stuffs your crank,

the 3 WORST THINGS you can do, is over promise and under deliver

The battery is sweet, 12V full charge, I still have no idea why the ignition does not do anything

I researched and googled the word sump and could not find it. Where would i find this sump? is it part of the carburattor? is it down closer to the valves?

Tho it sounds like you have it right, im currently trying to take the carburattor out to check completely

Did you get a multimeter across the positive and negative terminals? If it read 12.0 volts, it's basically flat. A fully charged battery should read about 12.8V, so go charge it, and also, if you're only hearing the fuel pump and not the starter motor, your battery is flat.

The sump is the oil sump, or oil pan. That's where the oil pools in the engine, it is the very bottom of the engine. The bit of metal that you drain the oil from and remove the oil filter from.
