other way around... the fuel level in the fuel bowl will be lower if set to 8mm instead of seven... as you measure it upside down.

Though I would set it to 7mm... you will not solve your overflow problem that way and you will cause the carb to run slightly leaner... just get your arse to supercheap, get some carby cleaner and clean it properly... you've wasted time taking them on and off already... so just clean them once and be done with it.

I know, it was an example.....

Get new o-rings while you're at it.

+1 to orings

keep an eye out for split bladders on the sliders (under the top cover of the carb) also if the bowl seals have split, replace those too.

after that, make sure you balance the carbs otherwise they will still run like shit regardless of how clean they are.

Well i did clean them with some good old fashioned carby cleaner and it is sweet now XD
