    How to replace Cap Boost?

hi, so I found out that the part that is floating around is the 'cap boost'... I'm assuming it came from this part.. '11' in this diagram.. is that the vacuum port stopper? I noticed my bike doesn't sound great today.. and I checked the coils.. one isn't firing now.. and I think it is because this part has come off!

Do I have to pull off the tank, airbox and carbies to put it back on, or is there any chance it is accessible with everything still on please?

does anyone have an actual diagram of its exact location so it is easier to find please? thanks.

You may be able to feel under the carbs (probably with the air filter plastic off) and find it. I'd be checking the right hand side one first, as it is most accessible.

The rhs one is sort of behind the fairing in the hole in the frame, I can get a picture tomorrow if you need. Other than that, try.to feel under the carbs on the engine!

Hi.. so you think I have to take off the fuel tank and air filter box first to get to wherever it needs to go? I don't have one of those long phillips head screwdrivers to take off carbies.. nor ever done it myself.. I gotta find some nice Melbourne people who don't mind helping out a nice girl like me who knows what they are doing hehe.

Thanks.. would appreciate your pics to show me where exactly

Not my photo but this is where they are, the 4th cylinder one is on the rhs as I said before but as you said it was your 2nd cyl that wasn't heating up, I'd guess it's be that cap.

I'd say you would have to remove your tank at the very least, you can try to reach from different angles and feel for it but it would be pretty difficult.

tank off, carbs off. you can cap the ports through other means if you cant find the original caps. I used 2.5cm of vac hose with a ball bearing jammed in the end and a dob of silastic
