RE: What do you think of the matte black? Looks good or not?

can't really tell, get a bigger pic and from a few more angles. and get a new screen, spraying them never ends up looking good in the long run I recon.

I recon everyone with a matte black bike should now post them up, I'll go first (well first second )

yeah I did it myself, and I didn't do anything to protect it. I used white knight squirts paints from bunnings and they seem to hold up pretty well to petrol. I have found that those car dash protector sprays work pretty well to clean and protect the paintwork though, and it gives it a bit more of a satin finish which I like. I'll have a look at the exact one i use tomorrow but I think it's a maguiers (spelling?) one. Just be careful not to spill any petrol and you will be fine, although realistically it's not going to last as long as a professional job.

I don't like black on bikes at all. especially matte.

However at risk of being a big hypocrit, I have just ordered some black and grey fairings for a project bike only because it has gold rims. :\

We'l see if that can change my opinion.

yer tru. i keep a cloth in the boot thingo and cut a hole in it so wen i fill up if anything spills it wont go on the tanks. yer i guess even if i have to respray it every 6mnths its ok. im loving the matt black. i primered it before i sprayed it tho.
