as the title would suggest, my speedo needle jumps around like a madcunt.
I can be doing ~80 and it's not abnormal for it to drop my speedo reading down to 0-40 (jumping between the 2) and sometimes 60.
I recently took the speedo cable off from the dash end...it has some grease on/in there so is it fair to say it should be lubricated sufficiently??
Also, if I want to remove the cable from the bike completely to replace it, is it just as simple as unbolting it from the engine case end or do I need to drop the oil??
I'm going to assume that the cable itself bolts into a gear drive (can't think of the right word here) sort of thing...is it possible this is no good anymore, or is it likely to just be my cable up the shit causing the speedo problems??
