So I know when people get their parts powder coated, they face the problem of paint covering the threads. So I thought I would show how easy it is using a tap and die to fix that problem :P

Well so far I have glass blasted the engine, primed and painted it cast aluminium.

I'm not sure if I want to try repair and paint both engine cases or replace with new ones. Before I take the cases off I want to have the engine running to cure the paint before getting oil everywhere.

I'm really itching to pull the engine apart to have a play. I will concentrate on finishing the project first. Im struggling for room in my garage. Once the bike is in one piece again, I will set up a sterile environment for breaking the engine apart.

I will assess the engines condition when it is in pieces and replace as necessary.

After all whats a restoration if the heart of the bike isnt restored!!!

^^ Amazing job !! wow. Remind me of the effort that Spidey from Canada put into restoring his MC22

Love the detail in restoring the calliper pistons, replacing the steering bearings and the powdercoating of individual parts.

    Thanks for the comments guys

Here is a before and after shot of the Thermostat. There was nothing wrong with the old one but thought I would change it.

Glass blasted the case and heat proof paint. New seals of course :P
